HL7 The Netherlands is one of the first official International Affiliates of the International Standards Development Organization Health Level Seven (HL7) Inc. Founded in 1992, the Dutch HL7 organization has grown to over 130 members, including almost all general and university hospitals, most major vendors, and several general interest parties.
HL7 version 3 is the standard of choice for all new developments in the integration of information systems in healthcare in The Netherlands. As such we are broadening our scope from, primarily, intra-hospital applications to interorganizational applications throughout the healtchcare continuum.
As the information is primarily targeted at a Dutch audience, all information on this website is provided solely in Dutch. Any new developments within The Netherlands are translated into English and provided for comments to the International HL7 community, as our active contribution to the further development of the HL7 standard. General information about HL7 can be found on the international HL7 website. Please do not hesitate to contact us, should you have a need for English information about the products or activities of HL7 The Netherlands.
